There must be a mirror in Freshtovia somewhere. I woke up to a scream from Adriana today, somehow 4 Frysta creatures from Freshtovia’s Deep Freeze had made it into the Inn, past Fredigar, who was watching the gate downstairs.

These giant Ice-monsters made it into the common room before we noticed them. Adriana was up watching the mirror to see if there was any signs of our friends, Where De’ath was, I have no idea.
I leapt out of bed, grabbing my sword when I heard the scream. The first creature I barreled into and shoved it out of the door, throwing it out into the night. I turned to do battle with the other 3, but my shoulder that had made contact with the first was now numb from the cold.
Fulric rounded the corner quickly and threw a bolt of fire at one of the Frysta, melting a section of its arm. Adriana ducked under one of the tables. My wife is not a combatant, and I am glad she was hiding. Adriana then worked her way around to the hallways to check the mirrors while Fulric and I battled the Frystas.
With my arm warming up, I grabbed a bottle of open Wine Fredigar had opened, and splashed another of the Frysta as Fulric released yet another of his Firebolts. The creature lit up and promptly melted.
I was getting tired and whatever Fulric had been doing before this incident, meant that he was relying on his Firebolts only for magic. It didn’t look like he had anything else prepared at this hour. I swing my sword downwards on one of the remaining Frysta as Fulric launched yet another bolt at it, and the creature burst into crystals blinding me momentarily.
While I was blinded the most amazing thing thing happened, we found our friends. The basement door swung open, and Ko’ar rushed out with his magical staff. When he made contact with the creature, you could see the magical force reverberate and the Frysta was pushed out the front door like the first one.
Right behind him an elven wizard rushed up ready to help. De’ath rounded the corner at this point, of course he avoided all the combat.
Ahh but would he have been much help? That’s a topic of debate.
De’ath made a snide comment about losing Bella, and that Ko’ar and his team were fools for not seeing her as an Oard before. And off he went again to write notes about the implications of Freshtovian monsters arriving at this desolate place in time and space.
Fulric welcomed everyone back to the Inn, Introductions were made. Aparently our friends picked up a few new strays; an old Elven Wizard with a large grey hat, named Zipaz Sun. There was a thin man who refused to show his face, or lower his cloak hood with them. He claimed his name as Aklair Depress. There was a Half-Elf Paladin named Zephyrus. She wore plate armor, and had long black hair. Then there was what looked like an angry bushman named Maxfield. He had grey hair that stuck out in every direction. He was a large man. I do appreciate having a few more warriors in the Inn for sure.

Last night we discussed our worries. Ko’ar talked about this collector, the “Ark” Who is trying to save all magical creatures. I mentioned my concerns as I can feel my connection to the Feywild getting weaker. De’ath, being the callous thing he is, made a snide comment about us losing the worlds to the Oard already.
So first thing in the morning, Ko’ar took his new team to the gate and headed back to Hyrule. I did not see Pan Thanar, nor this Aklair this morning. I worry about what happened to them.

The gate opened today while I was on watch. I prepared the traps, but when I saw who it was I had to walk then through the traps to safety. Old Man Paul, Queen Wendy’s messenger came through, and while he was alone, he did not look like he was in good shape. He relayed the situation to me.
The Deep Freeze had somehow made it to the capital city, and attacked the castle, they could have held them off, but when it was discovered that Queen Wendy was missing, Morale dropped. The Freshtovian Army had retreated through the gate to the Comeback inn, in another Era.
He has been desperately going back and forth to random places looking for the queen since. Unfortunately, the Gate closed after he came through. Paul will have to be with us until it opens again.

Paul has been keeping up his regiment of fighting. He calls it the Order of the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. To me, it looks a bit like the Fighting styles of Ko’ar. I am, admittedly, not an expert on these things, however. Fulric has been going over the Mirrors with Adriana, and discovered that one room’s mirrors seem to react to the language of the Fey. Fulric has found a large Library behind one of the mirrors, but he did not explore.
He said it felt off, familiar, and yet evil. and he did not wish to go too far in.
De’Ath continued to watch the mirror in the common room, hoping to connect with the rest of the team. He sits there reading all day, hoping to see something. Today, the mirror flickered to life, showing Ko’ar and his team emerge from the Tree-gate in Hyrule.

Interesting. The Cat has been prancing around wearing a green torn cloak, in contrast to his new royal clothing. I was curious, but not enough to comment. Who am I to understand Rakasta Fasuion? I have better things to do.
Anyways I babble. What I found interesting, was that I think I understand why he wears the cloak. It’s That Bandit’s cloak, and he is used to teleport with the green puff of smoke.
Unfortunately I lost him when he did that. So I watched his companions, as they sat around the tree of gateways, and where harassed by the little goblin-kin there. Interesting creatures. I have been making notes. They may taste good on rye bread with a bit of cheese.
Ah I must be getting hungry.
Anyways the trio set up camp for the night, but were rejoined by the cat in the morning. They have left Hyrule. I am not clear what is happening, but shortly after, I could no longer view the Hyrulean forest.

During his stay, Paul and I have tried to use the Viewing Mirror to see Freshtovia, but we have not been able to see anything there. De’ath Tells me that Hyrule is having similar difficulties.
We said goodbye to Old Man Paul today. The gate opened, and he insisted on entering it to continue his search for Queen Wendy. I wish him good luck in the search.

Ko’ar’s Team returned again today. This wait is tiring. I wonder where they go for the week between entering the gate and the arrival.
The Chaos around the mirrors, is just insane. Fulric decided that we should show Ko’ar and his new team the mirrors locked behind the paintings. He and Ko’ar discussed something about a Library, and more of these mirrors. Fulric activated one with a key word from the Fey Language. And this caused a chain reaction.
So First, Ko’ar peered through the gate, contacted Fang somehow, and he stepped through with a giant dog. Ko’ar then Ko’Ar then opened a bag he had on his side and stretched the opening to match the mirror, and we watched in amazement as an entire army of Elves marched out of the bag into the Library along with a Unicorn & a Beastman.
I swear just after Fulric closed this mirror, another mirror opened and a dark furred Rakasta lady walked confidently through, and before she could say anything a 3rd mirror opened and a giant spider-lady tried to crawl through.
Imagine a centaur, now change the bottom half to a huge spider-body with its eight legs, now change the human part to that of a pitch colored Elven lady with White flowing hair. That’s what came through, and attacked us all.
Is this another of Dentiata’s monster-minions? I don’t know. The new Rakasta lady helped us fell this nightmare creature, before it collapsed on our new paladin friend, Zephyrus.
As the new cat-lady introduced herself as Elizabeth, Zipaz, the old elf crawled on the spider body looking for “loot”. Elizabeth asked for help in tracking down Ko’ar’s brother.
I gave up at this point.
Fulric lead them the “window Room” I was not present for the conversations that followed, but Adriana informed me that they were headed back to Tuma in the morning to try and recover some of the “gadgets” from Bella’s Body.

It’s been a week since Ko’ar and the rest headed back to Tuma. According to De’ath, tomorrow they should arrive. It’s the Day of the Dead today, so we started decluttering again. Julius began to tidy up in the basement, while Fulric worked in the mirror room, I tidied up the main area. Fredigar didn’t see the point, and watched while he drank.
Of course, the enchantments tidied up after us, but that didn’t mean we had to get lazy about it.
While I was in dusting the mirror, I heard a commotion from the mirror room, so I called for Jay and ran to the room.
Poor Fulric was surrounded by what looked like 6 Ice demons. They were shorter than me with jagged thin arms that ended with razor sharp claws. They had snuck out of one of the mirrors behind Fulric. We had to lure them out of the mirror room, and seal it up. Fulric’s firebolt did extactly this, and it wasn’t long before we had melted the creatures.
Paul, and his Order of the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and the Ice Demons (Freezer Burn) are from the Feast of Legends Setting. Details on the monsters and rules from there later.
The picture of Ko’ar is from my Daughter, Samantha Baldwin.
